Calendar of Camps

This is the place to check availability when planning your group’s camp, or to see about joining an existing camp. On this calendar, you will find possible available dates. The colored bars denote dates that are confirmed reservations. Camp 1 reserved dates are in red, Camp 2 reserved dates are in blue and Camp 3 reserved dates are in green. Available dates are shown in white. If you want a date you don’t see specifically listed below, contact us for availability. The open dates are subject to change, so be sure and contact us as soon as you can to secure your desired dates.

For future years, note that several camps come back every year at about the same time. Contact us to check on availability.

After you review this chart for available dates and select a campground, please go to Reservations to submit your request.

The camps with links or contact information below the calendar are open to accepting additional participants. If you’re interested in joining a group, you must contact them directly, as MWCA only operates the facility and has no specific information on any camping group. Joining an existing group is a wonderful way to come to the Woodlands and enjoy all that this magical place has to offer. If any of these camps are of interest to you, be sure to contact them soon, as space is limited.

Redwoods Men’s Center:
annual Men’s conference

may 24-27, 2024

The Redwood Men’s Center: Men in community, restoring wholeness to ourselves and Soul to the world. We at the Redwood Men’s Center recognize the need for men to come together in community to express and explore ideas which restore wholeness to ourselves and Soul to the world. As healing professionals and men of service, we move beyond the limits of traditional psychology with its exclusive focus on ego concerns, by embracing the deeper needs of Soul through mythos and ritual.

We provide a container in which to heal the wounds that result from our lost connection with Soul and support men in bringing this healing back to their communities. We accomplish much of this through our Annual Men’s Conference, a yearly gathering among the Mendocino redwood trees over Memorial Day weekend.

The community we create over these four days has a profound effect, lasting well beyond the weekend and carrying over into our return to daily life. Printed words don’t really do justice to the experience of the Annual Men’s Conference. This short video, spoken from the heart, will give you some insight into the value to be found here.

Since 1977 the West Coast edition of the EEFC’s Balkan Music & Dance Workshop has been gathering amidst the towering redwoods of the Northern California coast. Each year we welcome new friends along with old, as musicians and dancers and those who love them come together with our extraordinary teaching staff for a memorable week. Our rustic setting makes for a true getaway. Our programming offers numerous opportunities to learn, and our welcoming and warm atmosphere creates a friendly setting for your week at camp.

We welcome you to join us, a community of spiritual friends and seekers from many walks of life, at the annual Mendocino Sufi Camp, a warm-hearted and joyful camp for all ages. The Sufi’s aim is to remember the Divine in all aspects of life, and to serve humanity with love and compassion.

Toward that goal, we offer classes and gatherings (yoga, turning, singing, writing, meditation, esoteric studies, and others) as well as fun-filled programs for children, tweens, and teens (who are also welcome to delve more deeply in mysticism by attending adult classes). We hold a universalist world view, which sees and honors the truth in all religions. Click here to view “Mendocino Sufi Camp – A Deep Forest Experience.”

This camp has over 100 of the finest music and dance instructors from many cultures. Imagine idyllic days and nights in the magical redwood forest filled with all the music, dance, and good times a person could possibly stand. Campers are free to take as many or as few of the workshops offered as they like; jam sessions 24 hours a day, big dances every evening. There’s plenty of good food, new friends, and musical stimulation.

It’s truly a unique, total immersion into the joys of nature, music and dance. Many workshops are for the professional as well as the beginner. The Voice Of America spent a week recording music and interviewing people at Lark Camp for a special 2 hour show for broadcast in Eastern Europe to illustrate life in the United States. Click here to see their video.

Ever August since 1989, women and girls have gathered at the Mendocino Woodlands to honor feminine spirituality through the Goddess. Join us in celebrating our spirituality by sharing knowledge, music, arts, ritual, laughter, and delicious catered meals. EWF is purely a grassroots organization; all the workshops, activities and performances are created by the vibrant group of women who participate. We are committed to providing a welcoming and empowering environment for all women, regardless of race, color, religion, orientation, or income status.
